Countdowns

It’s been so long since I’ve blogged and there’s no real reason why I haven’t. I just haven’t been into it lately or my whole heart hasn’t ever been into it. I’m always on the computer, and always online. I’m constently checking Twitter and reading everyones tweets, but I never really update mine.

I want to know how everyone does it. Keeps their blog, twitter, and many of the other things they use, up to date. I usually don’t because I just don’t know what to blog or tweet about. I’m not a person that when something happens I think “Oh! I have to write that down.” I just never have been. If it’s something worth remembering, I remember it and don’t feel the need to write it out.

I know there are a couple of blogs out there that have list of topics you could blog about if your stuck. To me though, my blog is like a journal, only writing about this I want to get out. I’ve never been a person to keep a diary because I want to know what other people think and what they have to say about it. Especially if it’s something I need advice on and I’m not sure who to talk to.

I’ve been thinking for awhile about what to do with my site because it’s just been sitting here. I am never going to be able to close it or get rid of it. I know a lot of people get tired of their domain and get a new one, but I love mine. I’ve had it for so long that I can’t get rid of it. Sometimes when I’m bored I’ll just get on and change things on it.

I’m hoping to update a lot more now and keep focus because I miss talking to and hearing from all the great people I have become friends with online. Keep me motivated. Please?

So it’s been over two weeks since my last post and that is because I’ve really had nothing of interest to blog about. Well, there was one thing just at the time got lazy and then I don’t really know. I’ve been on the computer though, watching YouTube videos and everything. I’ve just been neglecting the site a bit.

I decided I wanted to get into the fall spirit with a new layout but I also wanted to have something up for Halloween so I just decided to make a Halloween layout and then once Halloween gets closer, I’ll work on one for just fall or Thanksgiving to have ready to put up when Halloween is over. I worked on the layout throughout the day yesterday and took my time coding it because I really didn’t like the coding the first few times I did it. I loved the scrapbook feel of my last one and I really didn’t want to take that down for that reason, so I decided to do another one. I wanted to put pictures of my baby cousin’s on it from a previous Halloween, but I couldn’t find any decent pictures.

A few days after my last blog, I went for my driving evaluation to see if I would be able to handle driving. We went on Tuesday (September 1st) and it was just a lot of things testing how my brain worked and responded to things, my hand-eye coordination, my reflexes and other thing to do with driving. The only reason was because even though someone just as a physical disability, it can sometimes affect the way the brain works. They said I did really well and there was no worry with that part and that I can easily handle doing a lot of things at once (like you need to do when you drive)

The next day we went for the driving portion and it was basically to see how well I could handle driving the car. It was all hand controls for me because that is what would be easiest. I honestly felt like I was playing a video game. I used a suicide nob for the steering and this like lever thing that you pull back to brake and push for gas. They said that I also did really well in that too and I could definitely handle it. Now I just have to go for my learner and it’s about a 6 month wait till I’ll get a schedule of when to go there and also when I can start drivers ed. Unfortunately though, for me, it will take about two years till I finally get my license, but I’m still really happy that I know I’ll have it eventually.

I have been working on this theme for like two weeks on and off and finally finished it. I wanted to go for a scrapbook theme and at first I didn’t think I was going to put pictures on it because I didn’t know what pictures I could use. I was taking pictures off my camera since I haven’t cleaned off my card in awhile and I had my prom pictures on there so I thought they were perfect.

I finished this theme earlier and pushed myself to code it because I was feeling lazy and after I did that, I figured why not validate the coding and CSS? So I did. It actually didn’t take me that long. A lot of the errors were caused by one thing and most of the time something little and stupid. I’m proud of myself.

I ended up ordering the 32 gb iPod Touch and I love it! I’m addicted to it. I’ve had it for about 2 weeks now or so and I’m always using it. Most of the apps I have are free except for a few here and there. I also bought some songs on itunes.

I found out a few days ago that someone I knew, well, kind of because we only talked a few times, died about a week ago. She was sick with Swine Flu and Pneumonia. Alone they are both deadly so they were surprised that she fought through a week. Not only that though, she also had Osteogenesis Imperfecta like I do and it can make people have respiratory problems early in life anyway. It’s very said though especially since she was only 20.

About two years ago I wanted to learn to play the guitar and I tried forever to teach myself but, just didn’t have the patients and gave up. As of about nine months ago or so my brother and cousin ended up picking it up. Recently, because I my brother playing again, I decided to try and give it another go. And what do you know? I got it. My brother helped me a little by teaching me how to read tabs but, that was really all. I love it now.

Recently, (as in the last few days), I started watching videos of the live online show called Friday Night Cranks and they are amazing. Every Friday they do a live show on Stickam and make prank phone calls. They have people request calls by sending in a number and a senario. Some of them are really funny.

One of my favorites was when they called Apple customer support and the one host, Jared, said that he bought his son and iPod and it was filled with animal porn and he said “Now he’s dressed like a bear, trying to take advantage of his stuffed animals. I’m a bit concerned since he’s only four.” I was laughing so hard! They have so many others. If you go to their Stickam page you can view all their past shows. That’s what I’ve been watching for the past few days. Haha.

New layout! If you didn’t already noticed. I loved the Taylor Swift layout image but I wasn’t a huge fan of the layout itself. And I got inspiration for the three column layout from Liesl and also a tutorial on the rounded corners too. I liked it because I always have stuff for the side bar and it makes the page so long, but now I can have the stuff without that issue.

I just treated myself to ordering stuff online. I got me a pack of Pentel Rolling Writer® R100 and a Small Black 300 Line Page Notebook. Why you might ask? Because 1. I finally have a checking account so now I can order what I want without asking my parents to use their credit card and have them transfer the money from my savings account to their card and 2. I have an obsession with pens/pencils and notebooks. I’m actually planning on using the notebook as a journal and going to try and write in it everyday with thoughts and things I don’t want posted here. I’ve never had one before so that will be interesting.

I don’t really blog that often anymore and even when I do, I don’t blog about super interesting stuff. I’ve gotten to the point where I don’t want to share all this personal stuff on here like I use to. A lot of people I know, know about my site and it’s just one of those things I don’t want everyone knowing certain things, or certain people knowing certain things.

I mean I probably will come on here and blog about prom and graduation and exciting things like that. But if there is something more personal, I’m not going to share it. Maybe I’ll use this more as an opinion bog or something. When I feel strongly about something, I’m able to just write it out. It’s a good way to vent. Now it’s just a matter of getting use to coming on here and doing that. Haha.

I know there are a lot of people out there with blogs but they’ll post like articles and stuff they’ve written. Like reviews of like books and movies. But also about like things that people do or something that irritates them and I find them interesting to read.

I just can’t let this site go. I’ve had it for almost five years and it’s my baby. I’m usually messing around with it here and there. Something to keep me busy and I just like trying out new things with it. As you might be able to tell, I changed the layout, that’s also one of the reasons I love keeping this site, so I have something to make look the way I want it to.
