“Put your spell book in my castle.”

I finally got Shane to get his tux after yelling at him since like February. I told him on Friday that if he didn’t get it by Monday (May 4th), I would either a. sell his ticket or b. find someone else to go with. I don’t know if I would really do that, but than again, I probably would have because he shouldn’t have put it off for so long. It’s irritating really. So, that’s one thing down that I don’t have to worry about anymore.

So, on Friday I order the Flip Mino HD (post a picture later) that I been wanting for awhile now and it came today!!! I was so excited. I’m not really sure what to record with it at the moment though. I am definitely going to use it the last few days of school, prom, and graduation. I’m hoping to get some really good stuff and make a video to put up on Youtube. I think it will be something fun and cool to look back on.

You’re probably wonder what the title of this blog is about, eh? Well, in yearbook, for the past week and a half, we’ve been split in to groups to come up with ideas for next years book. The group I was in was all seniors (and some of the most awesomest people ever). We basically goofed off the whole entire time. We don’t really care about what next years yearbook looks like because we won’t be there so we decided to present the them of “(school name) School of Witchcraft and Wizardry”. Yes, Harry Potter. It was fun to do actually and pretty funny. The one boy, Andrew, had decided to write a rap for it so we all helped a little and it was extremely funny. I’m going to try and get video of it to post here later.

We decided the book would look like a spell book and the cover would look like a castle. Megan drew up and idea for the cover and Mandy was the one who came up with the idea of the castle so she said to Megan “Put your spell book in my castle.” and we just looked at her for a minute and then she was like “Wow, that sounded wrong.”

Ugh….

Rant 1 - Sometimes I really can’t stand when people think that they have the right to say or do something. I actually find it funny when it isn’t their right or there place to make a decision about something but they do it anyway. I’m not going to get super into it because it would take a lot more explaining than it’s worth. But lets say that a school nurse, someone or has no place in deciding what disciplinary action is to be taken with a student, especially when it doesn’t involve them. It is up to the administration of the school. If they discipline a student, the student does what they have to do, the nurse has no place in coming back and using it against that student. It is none of the nurse’s business.

And no, I did not get in trouble at school but someone I know did because they left in the middle of their class early for personal reasons. They told their teacher they were leaving and the teacher wrote them a pass to the health room. Later on that day the teacher came down to see if they came in and got signed out. The nurse’s of course said no so the teacher wrote a referral for my friend. The administration called home and told them.

Instead of waiting for them to call her down the following day about it she went down and took responsibility for it. She told the administrator she talked to the truth of why she left, he didn’t flip out on her or act irrational about it, he suspended her for two days and that was that. After what happened though the nurse decided that my friend could no longer take me to class after that (I’m in a wheel chair because of my disorder (read about me) and I leave class five minutes early so I’m not in the busy hall ways and I always have an aide or someone with me to make sure I’m safe and for the whole year my friend took me to and from class for half of the day).

The teacher came down after a little while later from when she did earlier that day and said that my friend didn’t do her work and whatever and she didn’t want her to leave five minutes early. Well, for one thing, my friend just chose not to do it, two, the teacher collects the work from the class before in the beginning, the five minutes does not affect any of that. Her sitting in class for those five minutes is not going to change her grade. If the teacher doesn’t want her to leave, fine, whatever, but that shouldn’t affect all the other classes.

The reason the teacher used was that my friend go in trouble for leaving school early and so she was no longer to take me to class. Well, for one thing, it is none of her business and it was for the administators to deal with and they did and they let it go. It would have been different if the administrators had said that she could no longer do it but they didn’t.

Rant 2 - When people are told they need to do something by a certain time and they sy they will, they need to do it. Otherwise, don’t say they will. And it just irritates me especially when they say that they want to do something, but don’t do the things they need to.

You may ask who I’m talking about? My boyfriend, Shane, the biggest procrastinator ever. He claims he wants to come out here and go to my prom and move here permanently this summer but he doesn’t want to do any of the stuff that he needs to do. He’s been planning all this since January and wouldn’t be coming out here until the end of May so it is completely ridiculous to not have done anything that he needs to.

For me to be able to get his prom ticket he needs to scan his license and e-mail that to me so I can print it out and take it with me and I have to fill out some form. You have to do that with anyone you bring as a date that doesn’t go to our school. The tickets went on sale Monday and go till Friday, but I only have to school two days this week so the only days I can get them is Tuesday and Thursday. So I told him he needed to get it to be by Monday night, but guess what? He didn’t. He apparently can’t even find it. Well, shouldn’t he have looked for Saturday when I told him?

I told him that the only other day is Thursday, if he doesn’t get it to me by tonight, I’m just going to buy my ticket tomorrow and he can sit here and rot for four hours while I’m having fun at prom. Oh well, that would be his problem.

On top of that, he has yet found a place(s) he could check out when he is here to possibly live in. I’ve already found him a job and I tried and possibly found him a place but it isn’t a definite thing. He is the one that needs to do all of this though, not me. I just want to yell at him sometimes.

Rant 3 - If I hear one more thing about the swine flu I swear I will punch that person in the face. They are making way too big of a deal about it and it really annoying! Will people shut up about it already?

People die everyday from the flu. People die everyday from the flu shot but you don’t here about that all the time do you? I mean come on. How many people have gotten the swine flu in the United States out of the population? No that many people. And so far none of them have died from it. So please shut up about it. Especially the government. It seems they constantly want to scare people.

Let’s talk about life…

I don’t really blog that often anymore and even when I do, I don’t blog about super interesting stuff. I’ve gotten to the point where I don’t want to share all this personal stuff on here like I use to. A lot of people I know, know about my site and it’s just one of those things I don’t want everyone knowing certain things, or certain people knowing certain things.

I mean I probably will come on here and blog about prom and graduation and exciting things like that. But if there is something more personal, I’m not going to share it. Maybe I’ll use this more as an opinion bog or something. When I feel strongly about something, I’m able to just write it out. It’s a good way to vent. Now it’s just a matter of getting use to coming on here and doing that. Haha.

I know there are a lot of people out there with blogs but they’ll post like articles and stuff they’ve written. Like reviews of like books and movies. But also about like things that people do or something that irritates them and I find them interesting to read.

I just can’t let this site go. I’ve had it for almost five years and it’s my baby. I’m usually messing around with it here and there. Something to keep me busy and I just like trying out new things with it. As you might be able to tell, I changed the layout, that’s also one of the reasons I love keeping this site, so I have something to make look the way I want it to.

Checking in
March 28th, 2009 at 2:44 pm

It’s been over a month since I last blogged and that’s because there is nothing to blog about. With me only having school everyday, my days off consist of sitting in front of the computer.

The days I have school it’s just the same routine over and over. Get to school, talk to Erica till it’s time to go to class. Go to English then Spanish 2 for second period, I & I period (Don’t ask), Algebra 2 for third period and lunch about an hour into it, then finally Yearbook for fourth period.

I love having school every other day and on the days I have it, it goes by at a decent pace then I know I’m free the next day. It will also help me out next year when I’m out of it.

At the moment I’m just counting down the days till prom and graduation. That’s what matters to me. I’m avoiding all the drama and stuff by just talking to people at school but not really becoming close to anyone or hanging out with anyone.I’m content with just hanging out with Erica. I’m not really trying to make new friends since I probably will see or hear from any of them come next year, if I even hear from them this summer. I mean there are a few people I talk to who are like my other best friends, and those people I think (and hope) I continue to talk to and keep in touch with.

I’m thinking of maybe this summer to start making videos on YouTube of whatever I feel like. Skits, vlogs and just stupid random little things. I hope to get away with bringing my camera with me to graduation rehearsal to I can film some of it and put a video together of it and actual graduation footage. I’m thinking of doing a prom one too. Filming the day of into that next morning. I think it would be kind of interesting. Especially to look back at in a few years.

Sleep deprived and still alive.
February 11th, 2009 at 9:14 pm
So, I got absolutely no sleep last night and I had school today. I feel like a zombie or something. Yes, this is Zombie Catie typing this blog. I’ve never done that before though, I’m always able to fall asleep even if it’s later then normal. But no, I couldn’t fall asleep at all. Shane stayed up and talked to me all night and I loved it.

I haven’t felt too bad today though. I know probably as soon as my head hits the pillow I’ll probably pass out. Although Shane and I have some plans I guess you could say so I don’t want to fall asleep. I gave him permission to call me and wake me up if I’m asleep when he gets off work.

As I said before in one of my previous blogs, I’m on the Yearbook staff at school and I’m am basically the manager, NOT the editor, but apparently the yearbook wouldn’t happen without me. At least according to Ms. Goldey. Makes me feel special.

Anyway, she is still going to school for I believe her masters. Right now in one of her classes they are learning about profiling so she decided to incorporate it into our yearbook. So for each grade level, there are two or three people. And it’s not just anyone. Some are for sport and things like that. She is doing one on me for my OI (read the about me). The last two class periods she was interviewing me about it. I don’t know. I just think it’s really cool. She gave me the rough draft of it so far and it’s really good.
